As part of enhancing scientific and academic collaboration between Iraqi universities, a delegation from the Laser and Photonics Center at the University of Al-Hamdaniya, led by Professor Mona Yohanna Slewa, paid a scientific visit to the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
The delegation was welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Naeem Riyad Saleem, Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Rajeh Al-Khatib, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ghada Abdul Rahman Taqa, Head of the Department of Basic Dental Sciences, and Professor Dr. Manar Muthaffar Al-Nima, Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, along with a selection of faculty members from various departments of the college.
The visit program included a comprehensive tour of the college’s laboratories and departments, where the delegation was introduced to the operation of modern equipment in the research laboratory, the radiology and sonar department, pediatric dentistry clinics, the oral and maxillofacial surgery unit, as well as the scientific setups in the physics, physiology, anatomy, and chemistry laboratories.
The goal of the visit was to explore the technical capabilities and practical teaching methods used in the college, exchange expertise in education, training, and scientific research, and enhance cooperation between the University of Al-Hamdaniya and the University of Mosul in the medical and technical fields.
This visit is part of the University of Al-Hamdaniya’s efforts to expand academic collaboration and open up to Iraqi universities, contributing to the development of the educational and scientific research environment, and serving students and the community.
